The 2021 AECT Proceedings for the AECT Chicago Convention, 'Homecoming (Homestaying): A Return to Learning through Innovation' is now available. The Proceedings of AECT's Convention are published in two volumes. Volume #1 contains 26 papers dealing primarily with research and development topics. AECT President Xun Ge addressed a session of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization-Allied Command Transformation Training Technology Conference that was held September 14-16 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The event was a hybrid conference attended by 485 NATO members and affiliates, 425 online and 60 in-person.

They are looking for submissions in Instructional Design Practice, Research Studies on Applied Instructional Design, and Instructional Design/Performance Design Position Papers. The award recipients were nominated and selected by AECT's awards committee and Executive Committee for their exemplary contributions to the field.

AECT is a global organization whose mission is to nurture research-based design of effective teaching and learning, with a particular focus on e-learning. Therefore, we are pleased to pass along this most interesting and timely research on e-learning in Africa. The Educational Technology Research and Development's (ETR&D) 2019 impact factor increased to 2.303 (2019) from 2.115 (2018). ETR&D’s five year impact factor increased to 2.752 (2019) from 2.672 (2018). ETR&D is one of the top Q1 and SSCI journals. On behalf of AECT and Springer Nature, we congratulate all who contribute to the journal on this positive development.

This project is the result of the community-based approach with reliance on AECT members' expertise and knowledge to provide a robust yet concise index.
