On the Horizon: Rays of Change
Share the view over the horizon! The 2008 AECT International Convention where hundreds of sessions offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in information that will offer the glow of both professional and program development. Convention workshops offer multiple rays of in-depth, hands-on experiences guided by some of the top experts and vendors in the field. AECT division, affiliate, Graduate Student Assembly and committee meetings are the beams of energy on the AECT horizon that keep the association basking in the rays of change. To share in the glow of these rays, we invite you to attend these leadership opportunities.
Three nights of evening activities will offer the glimmering opportunity to illuminate professional and personal pursuits. The International Student Media Festival will have its own program track highlighted to attract students and teachers involved in student media production.

AECT Events in SecondLife :
There are currently no SL events scheduled for the month of August.
AECT is now accepting requests to present in Second Life for the up-coming months of September, October and December. If you would like to present an educational based event or suggest an AECT sponsored event in Second Life in the coming months, please contact Cheryl Comstock at cheryl@c-idesign.com or Ize Mesmer in SL, to set your presentation date.
AECT members and non-members can now meet whenever and where ever in Second Life. As the most successful current virtual environment in terms of adoption and growth, Second Life represents a vehicle for AECT members to share and gain expertise as well as network with other professionals.

PacifiCorp Design and Development Award Competition
CALL FOR PARTICPANTS
Deadline for first round of submissions for the competition is May 1, 2008.
